How far in advance are you booked?

Generally, our clients book anywhere from 6 to 12 months in advance of their wedding.  Please contact us to secure your wedding date!

What is your photography style?

Our style combines both photo-journalistic photography as well as some planned poses.  We try to remain unobtrusive during your wedding and capture the events as they unfold with candid photos.

When will we receive our images?

You will receive your images approximately 30 days after your wedding.  All images are delivered in a high resolution digital gallery. All digital photos will be professionally edited.  

When should we have our engagement photos taken?

Our recommendation is for the engagement photos to be taken approximately 4-6 months prior to the wedding. You can use your photos to make Save the Date cards or you can pick a favorite to be printed and displayed at your wedding!  Your digital photos will be professionally edited and delivered in a high resolution gallery.

What camera equipment do you use?

Amy uses all Canon brand professional cameras and lenses.  Assistant photographers vary in the brand of cameras used but all assistants use professional line cameras and lenses.

Do you use flash?

While we love natural light we also love using flash in order to light up the subjects when necessary. For example, if the wedding reception venue is indoors and it becomes dark in the evenings or special uplighting is used, then then we will most likely use flash in order to properly expose the wedding party and guests, it all depends on the situation.

Do you travel to photograph weddings?

Our coverage area is primarily in the Washington DC, Northern Virginia and Maryland areas. However, we do travel outside of the normal coverage area. The clients are responsible for the extra fees involved such as hotel, air fare, or car rental.

I strive to create beautiful and compelling images for the discerning bride and groom. My approach to photographing weddings is to find creative compositions to document the wedding day. It is very important to me that I document the natural moments between my clients and their wedding guests. For every wedding I also pay close attention to the fine details that make each wedding truly unique to the couple and photographing the details with a creative and aesthetic appeal through a styling process.
